MOORING WAITING LIST CHANGE

May 1, 2014- The Newport City Council passed changes to the City Harbor Ordinance Ch.12.28. The changes will effect all NON RESIDENTS on the Newport Mooring Waiting List.In an effort to maintain the 3:1 mooring ratio of residents (3) to non residents (1),  no new non resident mooring permits will be issued until the 3:1 ratio is achieved. Currently, more than 25% of the private moorings are NON RESIDENTS.
