Absentee Voting

Who is eligible?

• An elector who will be absent from the state on the day of the election during the entire time the polls are open
• An elector who will be absent from the city on the day of election during the entire period when the polls are open due to the elector's status as a student or spouse of a student at an institution of higher learning located within the state
• An elector who is incapacitated to such an extent that it would be an undue hardship to vote at polls because of illness, mental or physical disability, blindness or serious impairment of mobility
• An elector who is forbidden by the tenets of his or her religious faith from engaging in secular activity including voting on the day of election
